Sally Tompkins
Past Managing Director of Yachting Events
Sally joined Carol’s crew in September of 2010. She is a long time Marbleheader and brings her love of the water to every aspect of her job at CKYC. Sally started sailing, at the age of 2, when she would tag along with her mom and dad racing their Santana 22 out of Marina Del Rey, CA. With a diverse background of marketing, sales and event planning Sally brings knowledge and experience to the office.
Past Day Division Event Manager
Top of her class – ENDICOTT student graduate – who worked tirelessly for our Day Division – in March 2008, Alysha came onboard as an Intern for Event Planning. She has spent part-time and summer full-time working and gaining knowledge of our unique business – coordinating all the details.
Originally from New Hampshire, she will be graduating in May 2010 with a degree in Hospitality Management from Endicott College.
Alysha has a terrific “service” background and brings her enthusiasm and keen people skills to her position – now VP of Day Events. Having worked for 3.5 years at the prestigious Myopia Hunt Club located in South Hamilton, MA her attention to quality service shines through.
“Working for Carol Kent Yacht Charters has been a great experience for me,” says Alysha. ”As a young hospitality industry professional, I’ve had incredible exposure to the industry working with top CEO’s and professionals on a daily basis.” Alysha arranges on-water (and land) events in Boston, North Shore, Newport, New York, and more! This year she had the opportunity to attend boat shows in the US and British Virgin Islands to become familiar with the yacht vacation division. She is now confident in working with the variety of clients who rely on her to provide excellent and personal service.
What does she do when she’s not coordinating events?
When Alysha began with Carol Kent, it was suggested that she try “crewing” on one of our day charter yachts in Boston. What better way to follow through the entire process of client booking their event to its final day of event. “Seeing the joy on the faces of our clients throughout the duration of the event is the best experience and knowledge gathering anyone could have.”
Alysha also can be found singing at events on the Endicott Campus in her jazz band or (if not crewing on the SECRET LOVE together) baking with her beau, Adam, who is rumored to make the best bread in town!
