MEDITERRANEAN
2021 Update: The European Union has omitted the United States from its list of countries whose tourists may visit. Americans still can’t vacation in their neighbor to the north, Canada, nor head to many Asian favorites. Travel with knowledge in Covid times. Check each country for protocol and entry.
The Mediterranean borders the three continents of Europe, Africa and Asia, and is flavored by the cultures of each. The healthy Mediterranean diet, the nearly perfect Mediterranean climate and the rich history of its countries make this region is a prime location for private yacht charter vacations. Each visit to any of the smaller seas — the Adriatic, Ligurian, Tyrrhenian, Aegean, Ionian or the Sea of Marmara — offers is its own wealth of historic sites, flavorful cuisine, vibrant culture and, of course, unparalleled temperate water sports. The Mediterranean is at around the same latitude as the continental United States (New York is the same as Naples, Boston is the same as Rome), and each region benefits from mild climate and favorable warm water currents, extending both regions’ yachting seasons from May to October.
