Genoa Italy Luxury Yacht Charter Show

Genoa’s luxury yacht charter show, in its 28th year, displays motor and sailing yachts for inspection by a select group of charter professionals from MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association), an elite European organization for yacht industry professionals.

I will be inspecting a variety of charter yachts May 2-5  that will be cruising Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Croatia this summer and next year.

Venice is the ultimate beginning or ending to your Croatia charter vacation.  Thanks to Captain Tiziano and lovely Elisa, we reviewed itineraries that encompass a two week holiday.

We recommend you start your voyage with three to four days in Venice.  Board your yacht, cruise at night, and wake up in Pula, Croatia (70 km).  For history buffs: this area is abundant with Bronze Age (1800-1000 BC) artifacts, plus many Roman era buildings, including Temple of Roma and Augusta, Pula Arena, Gate of Hercules, Augustan Forum, Twin Gates (Porta Gemina).

Continue your week with some of these Adriatic cruising itinerary options: Hrid Galijola Lighthouse, Unije (typical fishing and farming village), Losinj (dates back to pre-historic times with lush green vegetation), Ugljan (pine, fig and olive trees, vineyards and fishing), Pag (known for it’s famous cheese), Skarda, Zadar (pre-Romanesque Churches dates back to 9th century), Mutar, Kirke Falls, Sibenik (charming town square, palaces, fortresses and not to be missed 1434 Cathedral Sveti Jakov) ending your charter in Trogir (my favorite) or Split.
