What is a Trumpy yacht?  In the 1920’s & 1930’s this design was the desired yacht to own and cruise along the New England Coast.  John Trumpy, Sr.  (arrived in US  from Berlin, Germany in 1902 as a young navel architect) designed and built over 300  yachts “pleasure crafts” in his lifetime, along with his son, John Jr. of Trumpy & Sons, Inc.  The Presidential USS SEQUOIA was designed by Trumpy ~  hosting President Hoover to George Bush, Sr.
