Evan K. Marshall is responsible for the swooping exterior lines and the relaxing interior, a mix of hand-crafted black walnut woodwork offset by lighter upholstery. Big windows really open up the shared guest spaces, and there is plenty of headroom, too (the owner is over six feet tall). The guest spaces benefit from some monochrome images of a variety of latterday rock stars and icons – Keith Richards, Pattie Hansen, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Debbie Harry and Bob Dylan among others, and there’s even an electric guitar on a stand in the sky lounge, should any guest feel the need to jam.
