While people around the world are practicing social distancing with our bodies, our brains are frequently distant, too – looking forward to healthier times, going back to work and school, being able to be in the same room with family and friends – among other things. My distant brain spends a lot of time planning “Playcations” where clients drive and sail the New England coast. How about you? What do you spend time planning these days?
Plan to Play
When we can travel safely after the pandemic COVID-19, I predict that there will be an explosion of pent up expeditions. In fact, while families are home together and video chatting more than usual, many are using some of this time to plan their postponed vacations.
So how do we plan our travel now for the near future?
We at CKYCI are working on plans that assure bookers that their vacation is protected with rescheduling options. We suggest planning a PLAYCATION which can give you enough travel and enough play to placate that big vacation urge.
The traditional “staycation” means staying home, and most people will have met their quota of such sooner rather than later. We want to go out and play like we used to, but we will have to rein in our worldwide wanderlust for a while. *Please note that our yachts and crew are following the WHO and CDC guidelines in maritime (COPT) Captain of the Port.
This, of course, means giving more love to the beautiful New England coast. In the more immediate future, we’re looking at getting people on the water within the United States.
