Sailing Out of Stockholm Sweden

Our new destination this year is the exhilarating summer adventure in Sweden’s Archipelago.   Boarding in Stockholm, I will be sailing on 80′ Swan S/Y ICHIBAN this upcoming May 8-14, 2017.  I can hardly wait since so many of my sailor clients are counting on my reporting of this Scandinavian cruising treat.  We have more detailed information on the cruising area – please inquire and do follow my journeys on Facebook and Twitter!

Yacht:  The ICHIBAN is appropriately named-in Japanese the word means “#1”.  According to Captain Janne, “To sail a SWAN, the Rolls Royce among sailing yachts, is the dream of many and it will be an unforgettable experience.”

Captain:  Janne likes challenges, whether it’s sailing in stormy weather or running comprehensive IT projects for the government.  After 30 of sharing his experiences on the sea, he conveys both rough seamanship warm welcoming.  With Janne, you never feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar onboard.  He and his crew take the time to explain everything you need to know.

Chef:  Jens is a truly professional chef. His experiences serving the Swedish government and their international guests, have given him a quite confidence beyond any doubt. The dishes he creates will fulfill your wildest expectations and they will all be served with a big smile. Jens is full of energy which he splits between his two young daughters, being a chef and running marathons.

With its 33,000 islands, Stockholm’s Archipelago is a treasure-trove of adventure for visitors. Glide into a natural coves, anchor up and explore an unpopulated islands.  Immerse your senses in the splendor of the protected Archipelago. Commune with nature in one of the many natural preserves, unlike any you’ve ever experienced.

“The archipelagos in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, the fjords in Norway and last but not least our trip to the very north of Norway. All different, but equally beautiful and exciting. Complete comfort and every meal is a culinary experience. The trips are beautifully planned and organized into the smallest detail, but there is room for individual wishes.
A journey on board Ichiban is all you can possibly wish for on a holiday.”
