The best of the British Virgin Islands Virtual Charter Show 2020 participants and winners did a fantastic job of taking us to paradise while we sat at our office desks. And we were entertained by “Best Crew Presentation”. Check this out; it will lift you up: Video by 57′ catamaran VISION
Due to Covid restrictions on travel, this is the first time that the USVI and BVI Charter Yacht Shows have gone virtual. We were able to attend the very well-thought-out interviews with the crew, their walk-throughs with their yachts, and all the benefits and features for the coming charter season safely from our office. We thank The Triton for allowing us to show these dedicated crew that are waiting for you in safety and sincerity.
Congratulations to the Top Yacht Chefs, cocktail alchemists, yachts and crews who comprise the 2019 USVI Charter Show competition winners. We send thanks to everyone involved for taking their time and talents to this important yearly event in the US Virgin Islands. Having great food and beverages on your vacation are important to your enjoyment.
The 38th BVI Charter Yacht Show, hosted by Nanny Cay Marina, was held from November 7-10, 2019 in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. More than 60 yachts and 100 yacht charter professionals attended the on-water charter show to vet the very best in the upcoming charter season. The much-anticipated Culinary Contest reveals the talents and commitment to charter brokers and ultimately to charter guests when crew participate with their hearts and souls.
“This isn’t just a 62-foot catamaran; this is a floating experience center that we’ve crafted to bring all of our favorite parts of being alive on planet Earth and share them with you,” says owner Colin Guinn.
Congratulations to all the participants and winners of the much-anticipated Chef’s Competition with the timely theme: Sustainable Luxury. Our fine friends at the 2019 Newport Charter Yacht Show put on another superb event this year. Our thanks go out to everyone who made the show possible – the participating yachts, the show sponsors, the vendors, the American Yacht Charter Association – and especially our host, the Newport Shipyard, and their Marketing Director, Veronica Brown.
The boating season has begun. Driving on the highways and city streets, you will see sail and motor yachts everywhere being pulled along on trailers by their owners or boatyards.
In honor of the beginning of boating season in New England, we have selected 6 outstanding all-inclusive yacht charters in 3 categories for summer getaways: Fab Family Yachts, Fishing Aficionados, Foodies Wanted.
In February, Charter Broker Sue Gearan escaped the polar vortex and attended the 2019 Miami Yacht Show at its new location. In between vetting boats, meeting captains and crews, and sampling goodies from top yacht chefs, she toured yachts with clients by appointment. Here is Sue’s choice for the 2019 MYS’s most interesting charter yacht: M/Y BOXER
Last week, our intrepid veteran Charter Broker, Sue Gearan, headed south to report to our dear readers and clients on the best boats at the Miami Yacht Show (MYS). At the MYS’ new 2019 location, One Herald Plaza, between the Venetian and MacArthur causeways, Sue vetted beautiful and exciting charter yachts, met captains, crews and chefs (also beautiful and exciting), and took clients on board by appointment. Here’s some of what Sue wrote about a boat particularly worthy of note at the MYS.
