British Virgin Island borders are open after closing due to Covid-19. Inbound air services began on December 1, 2020. We monitor the BVI government Facebook page for the latest Covid information for travelers.
Due to Covid restrictions on travel, this is the first time that the USVI and BVI Charter Yacht Shows have gone virtual. We were able to attend the very well-thought-out interviews with the crew, their walk-throughs with their yachts, and all the benefits and features for the coming charter season safely from our office. We all want to travel. We all need to feel safe. This coming winter may pose some obstacles. According to a recent McKinsey report on airplane travel, travelers encounter 700 touch points with commercial air travel compared to 30-40 touchpoints in private plane charters. Of course, not everyone can spring for “flying private tail”, so for most of our clients, we suggest that yacht charters are uniquely safe and recommend Park & Embark travel in the USA for this winter’s and next summer’s getaway.
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS (July 24, 2020) – The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism announced the launch of phase one of a new online portal that will pre-screen and assist with the certification process of all travelers prior to their arrival in the Territory. The goal is to reduce the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
